Suspending Our Judgements
A great challenge for Christians is to set aside our own standards of “right and wrong” and embrace God’s definition. Will we repent with the courage and humility to say, “Yes, God, You are right, and I was wrong?” Luke 13 illustrates the stubborn, Pharisaical resistance to truth. True repentance requires us to “test the spirits” of our hearts and be “willing to be willing” to see situations from God’s perspective.
Luke 13:14
But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. "There are six days of the week for working," he said to the crowd. "Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath."
