MOMENTS FOR MOMS
The Palm of Our Pilot

- "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and
have no
compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget,
I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of
my hands" (Isaiah 49:15,16).
You are given a phone number you must use to reach the most important
person in your life. You have a pen, but no paper. Where do you
write the number?
When my father has to remember a vital phone number or a task
to accomplish, he does something very strange. He writes the number
on the palm of his hand. I thought this was very odd until I was
caught in the same
situation. I was given an important phone number to remember.
I had no paper, so I used the palm of my hand.
This is what I discovered: I couldn't lose the number. I couldn't
forget to make the call. I continually thought of the person every
time I looked at my hand.
I discovered an astounding Scripture in Isaiah 49. This Scripture
tells us where God keeps each believer's name. Do you know where?
It's written on the palm of His hand.
This means:
We are important to God.
He cannot lose us.
He cannot forget us.
He thinks of us often.
