Gordon Robertson Named CEO of CBN & Other News of Interest
Greetings one & all, (It’s the season)
For those who have been asking… Gordon Robertson has been named the new CEO of the Christian Broadcasting Network.
After more than 40 years as the chief executive officer of CBN, Pat Robertson passes the mantle on to his son, Gordon Robertson. Pat is still Chairman of the Board and will continue to host The 700 Club; Gordon will also be co-hosting as he has for the last several years.
Gordon is the third of four Robertson children, Tim, Elizabeth, and Ann being the other siblings. Interestingly enough yesterday was also Mrs. Dede Robertson’s 80th birthday. Dede is Pat’s wife and mother to their children.
I hope she doesn’t mind me giving away that little bit of news; after all Pat announced it to our employees here.
God has continually blessed the family and work of the Robertsons as they, with our CBN staff, carry on the mandate, “To prepare the nations for the coming of the Son!”
Here’s the official CEO announcement on The 700 Club.
On another subject: FYI: The Gospel Truth – “Judas is not only no hero, he is a demon”…well worth a brief read from The New York Times in response to an article in National Geographic.
Finally, for some of you old baby boomer, rock & rollers, movie & comedy fans: the Kennedy Center Honors this year include some from the boomer era; one includes the other Mrs. Ross.
Onward,
Scott
