Christians across the country joined together online on Sunday evening to take a stand for religious freedom.

The Family Research Council hosted a live webcast out of Grace Community Church in Houston at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 2. The event was called "I Stand Sunday" and it featured various Christian leaders and speakers, including the Benham Brothers and Phil and Alan Robertson from "Duck Dynasty."

The webcast was in response to a recent move by Houston's mayor to subpoena pastors' private communications.

Mayor Annise Parker, a lesbian, targeted five pastors as part of a lawsuit over a pro-gay ordinance. The pastors said it violated their First Amendment rights.

Parker said her demands were not meant to infringe on anyone's religious freedom.

She has since withdrawn her subpoenas, but the targeted pastors still don't believe she has had a change of heart.

"Our need to be vigilant on this is going to be reinforced at the rally," American Family Association President Tim Wildmon told One News Now, "not only in Houston but around the country."
