How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? (Romans 10:14)

Within the vibrant communities and the quiet corners of the world, stories of faith and transformation emerge. At the heart of one such story is Kushi, a 10-year-old girl whose journey of faith has touched the lives of many around her, proving that even the youngest among us can be mighty prayer warriors.

Kushi’s journey with God began in an after-school program sponsored by Orphan’s Promise, where the stories of CBN Animation’s Superbook inspired her to place faith in Christ. It was here, amidst friends and mentors, that Kushi discovered the power of prayer. “Superbook and the teachers here taught me to believe in God and pray for everyone,” Kushi shares with a bright smile.

Moved by the Bible episodes she watched, Kushi began to pray at home with her parents. It wasn’t long before her entire family was drawn into the journey, learning about Jesus Christ and making the decision to follow Him. “Kushi used to come home and tell us about the Superbook stories. We learned that Jesus said, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’”, says Shivratari, Kushi’s mother. “I slowly developed faith in God and started meditating on the Word of God. This gave me peace of mind. My husband and I finally decided to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.”

Kushi’s faith didn't stop there. She began to pray for her neighbors, her community—and witnessed miraculous answers. From helping a neighbor conceive after years of waiting for a child to seeing her own family blessed with a new home through a government housing program, Kushi’s prayers were a testament to her inspirational faith.

Today, Kushi dreams of becoming a Gospel singer, using her voice to spread the Word of God. “I enjoy playing piano for God’s glory, and I love worshipping Jesus Christ,” she says, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Through Superbook, children are introduced to the Gospel in a relatable and engaging way. With over 2 billion views on YouTube and over 1 million decisions to follow Jesus through the app alone, Superbook is a powerful tool for sharing God’s love.

11-year-old March and Tan Koon are good friends. They love playing badminton and hanging out together.

One day before the pandemic March’s friend asked him a question.

"He said, ‘Do you want to know God?’ I said, ‘Sure, I want to know God,’" March told The 700 Club.

So March began to go to Sunday School in Thailand with his friend. There they watched episodes of CBN’s Superbook. One week March saw the story about Jesus, called He is Risen.

“I learned that Jesus came to redeem us,” he recalled.. 

At the end of the episode March prayed to become a Christian. “I felt so happy and at peace,” March added. “I knew that I would go to heaven someday. I felt like I was starting a new life.” 

A few weeks after that prayer the church shut down due to the pandemic. So their teacher held Superbook Sunday School classes online.  

“Our teacher sent us the links to Superbook,” he said. “After we watched the stories we talked about them and prayed together.” 

March lives with his dad Ali and invited him to watch Superbook episodes with him. At night they prayed together.    

“Because of the pandemic, the gas station that I managed had no customers,” said March’s dad Ali. “I was afraid the company would shut it down.”

“I told my dad that God is real and if we ask He will help us!” said March. “I prayed, ‘Dear Lord help my dad to open his heart to you and believe in you.’” 

Their prayers were answered and Ali’s station did not shut down and he did not lose his job.  

After the lockdown ended, Ali went to church with his son and prayed to become a Christian too.  

“Superbook showed me that God is real,” declared Ali. “Now I have Bible studies with my co-workers, and tell them, 'Try God, He will help you.’”

“I think everyone should watch Superbook to know God,” added March. “Thank you for bringing us Superbook!”

On April 29th, 1607, a nation was born.  Travel-weary Englishmen landed at Cape Henry on the shores of Virginia and lay the foundation for what would become the most powerful country the world has ever seen.  Act 1, scene 1 of the drama that was to be the United States unfolded that day at Cape Henry, and sparked the legacy of Godliness on American shores.

America's destiny and purpose were sealed with that cross at Cape Henry.  All that would follow in our nation's growth hinged on the single proclamation that this land belonged to Jesus Christ.

In the Mayflower Compact of 1620, the Pilgrims reaffirmed the mission set forth by the original Virginia settlers. "They said ‘we have come here, first of all for the glory of God.  Secondly, for the advancement of the Christian faith,’” said Rev. Eddie Hyatt, an author and historian.  “We could say they were missionaries. They weren’t just running from something.”

The Puritans carried the Cape Henry legacy further. On the deck of the Arbella, halfway between England and Cape Cod, leader John Winthrop declared, "We shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us, so that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken and so cause him to withdraw his present help from us, we shall be made a story and a byword throughout the world."

"They were going to America to live out a new kind of government and Christianity, where people governed themselves,” said Hyatt. "They didn’t depend on an outward government.  They would depend primarily on governing themselves according to Christian principles.”

More than 100 years later, as America set off on her own course towards independence, the Godly foundations laid in Virginia established the character of our Revolution.

"Before God, I believe the hour has come," said John Adams of the Revolution. "My judgment approves this measure and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, all that I am and all that I hope in this life I am now ready to stake upon it. And I leave off as I began, that live or die, survive or perish, I am for the Declaration. It is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God, it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now and independence forever."

George Washington's pure, Christian heart, Benjamin Franklin's call to prayer, and John Adams' reverence for the will of God symbolize the undying commitment of our Founding Fathers to the creation of a nation which would glorify God. The American character was born in Scripture and nurtured by the Holy Spirit. Yet today, our national heritage is under siege.

Bishop James Madison warned of such a risk in 1795: "The moment that religion, the pure and undefiled religion, loses its influence over our hearts, from that fatal moment, farewell to public and private happiness. Farewell--a long farewell--to virtue, to patriotism, to liberty."

Four hundred years have passed since America was first conceived at Cape Henry, and respect for our roots is growing cold. Yet one undeniable fact still remains. At its core, the United States of America is a Christian nation.

Dorcas is a widow who finds work daily to earn money to feed her children. She spends hours every day fetching water and never has enough money or time left over to fix their rundown house.

Dorcas explained, “When it rains, the roof and walls leak, and cold wind blows through the cracks. My daughter gets sick often. We sleep on a rug on the floor; no bed, no mattress. It’s hard to work or even do chores because my back and my whole body are always in pain. I looked at my house and asked God, ‘Do You really want me to live in such a house?’ My prayer every day is that God will give my children and me a good house to live in.”

When Operation Blessing learned about the conditions Dorcas and her children were living in, we built her family a new home.

Dorcas said, “God hears and answers prayers! I love Him so much! The house is warm and there’s no dust either. It is really nice! My children and I are sleeping so much better now. It feels great sleeping on a mattress, in a bed! No part of my body aches anymore. We have a nice kitchen, and even a water tank now. I no longer have to walk for hours to fetch water. To everyone who helped us, ‘May God bless you! May He continue to use you to touch other people’s lives! Thank you for your help!’”
